    A.C. McCartney Equipment, an ACGO dealership located on route 34 in Wataga IL has a great career opportunity available immediately for a service technician.  This is a full-time position with benefits and competitive pay.  
     
    Main Job Purpose:
    To provide technical and mechanical service and support for Agriculture equipment. 
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Diagnose issues in a timely manner
    • Timely repair of equipment with little to no re-work
    • Set up new equipment and/or customer requested attachments
    • Complete product updates and campaigns
    • Thorough verbal and written communication of work order repair details
    • Keeps dealership tools, equipment, and vehicles in good and safe working order 
    • All other duties as assigned
     
    Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge Required:
    • 2 years of diesel mechanic experience
    • Welding
    • High school diploma
    • Good communication skills
    • Positive attitude
    • Complete set of tools 
    • Ability to work extended hours and weekends when needed
    • Agriculture background a plus, but not required

    To provide service for Large and Small Agriculture equipment such as combines, tractors, planters, tillage tools, etc. Provide outstanding customer service to keep customers coming back.
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Diagnose issues in a timely manner
    • Repair equipment timely with little to no re-work
    • Set up new equipment and/or customer requested attachments
    • Complete Company Product Updates and Campaigns
    • Communicates and follows Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
    • Communicates with Service Manager regarding quotes, repair issues, billing and status of repairs, etc.
    • Monitors and adheres to Service Department goals and budget
    • Attends and assists in any company, store and community functions that will benefit the Dealership
    • Assist Warranty Administrator with preparing Warranty Claims and Warranty updates
    • Provide and assists preparing and closing workorders
    • Review and keep Source up to date
    • Complete and file the PDIs
    • Assist in keeping all department tools, equipment, lot, and vehicles in good and safe working order.
    • Communicates and works with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction by fostering and creating team environment in order to reach the dealership goals
    • Communicates to management of any issues
    • Fosters team environment and morale within the service department
    • All other duties as assigned

    Main Job Purpose:  Sell new and used agricultural equipment within designated territory.  Maintain current relationships with customers while pursuing new prospects to grow the overall business.

    Responsibilities:
    • Represent the company in the sale of all equipment lines sold by dealership.
    • Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment sold by dealership.
    • Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers.
    • Follows a defined sales process and complete proper paperwork on timely basis.
    • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
    • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
    • Monitor trends in customer’s business activities
    • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used equipment
    • Attend applicable sales training events/seminars
    • Other duties as assigned

    Job Requirements:
    • 1-3 years equipment sales experience or Ag related field preferred
    • Knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming or operational practices preferred
    • Ability to work flexible hours seasonally
    • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
